I'm Amanda, a self-taught artist who loves diving into the world of creativity. While acrylics are my main squeeze, I also enjoy exploring watercolor, gouache, and various other mediums. Fun fact: the 'aca' in ArtacaMom represents the initials of my three amazing children – Athena, Cashmir, and Ashton. By day, I'm a mid-level executive at a nationwide company, but by night (and every other free moment), I'm fully immersed in my art. It's my way of tapping into my creative side and letting go of the demands of the business world. 

Hailing from the quaint town of Ixonia in southeast Wisconsin, I'm a true Wisconsin girl through and through.

In my artistic journey, I embrace the unpredictability of the creative process. There's a certain beauty in not knowing how the end result will look – it's liberating and allows me to let go of pressure and expectations. With each piece, I start with a vision in mind, but often find that the final outcome is a delightful surprise, diverging from my initial idea.

My preferred medium is acrylic on canvas, where I enjoy experimenting with bold colors and diverse textures. I'm not afraid to mix things up by adding glitter or other mediums to add an extra layer of interest. Additionally, I find joy in working with watercolor and gouache, exploring their unique qualities and pushing the boundaries of my creativity.
